InfoAICert launched: italian platform to certify High-Risk AI

InfoAICert, the first Italian project dedicated to assessing the compliance of high-risk Artificial Intelligence systems with the new European AI Act, which will come into force in 2026, has officially been launched.

The project, funded by the Italian Fund for Applied Sciences (FISA) with a budget of €5.55 million and a five-year duration, is led by Prof. Fabio Roli from the University of Genoa, in collaboration with Tinexta Infocert (Tinexta Group), which will serve as the host institution.

InfoAICert aims to develop the first made-in-Italy AI certification platform, providing an innovative service currently unavailable in the European market and expected to become crucial as demand grows.

Through this project, Italy positions itself as a strategic player in building a safe, reliable, and regulation-compliant AI ecosystem.
